1. GO PEOPLE BASICS
More flexible: With direct communications with Runners, jobs are done more flexibly and more accurately.
- Who are the Go People Runners?
Our Runners have different backgrounds, from experienced couriers, students, truck drivers, fitness club members and so on. We firstly verify Runners via photo ID uploads. We also encourage Runners to bind their social networks to for extra verification checking. Our Runners are also encouraged to make security bond deposits.
2. SETTING UP A RUNNER ACCOUNT
Every morning, after you switch off your alarm, wake up your Go People App. This is important, as our system analyses how active you are with the App, which also influences your chances of winning more jobs.
Take 5 minutes to set up for your profile. Winning jobs is all about how your profile looks, especially when you are still new to the Runner community.
• Why do I need to upload my photo ID?
Upload your photo ID in the “Verifications” section (Account>Verifications). It is important to take a photo of your ID next to your face so we can be sure of the ID’s ownership. If your profile says you are a car or truck owner a driving license is mandatory (it doesn’t have to be Australian but we need to understand the details). However, we also accept other forms of identities such as passport, age card, etc if you are an Opal card owner or bicycle user. When taking a photo, make sure all details are readable (such as expiry date) when zoomed in and that your fingers don’t cover up part of your ID.
Here are the jobs you will be able to do depending on your vehicle:
Opal Card: Only for small parcel and/or documents deliveries (especially in the CBD).
Bicycle: Only for small parcel and/or documents deliveries (especially in the CBD).
Motorcycle: Only for small parcel and/or documents deliveries.
Sedan/Hatch/SUV: Must have aircon, can do any delivery which isn’t oversized.
Wagon: Must have aircon, can do any delivery that isn’t oversized and can use Loading Zone.
Van: Any type of delivery and can use Loading Zone.
Ute: Only for parcel, food and/or documents deliveries, can use Loading Zone.
Truck: Oversized deliveries, can use Loading Zone.
The “My areas” section allows you to subscribe to suburbs where you can run for jobs. This will keep you notified with the appropriate jobs coming up in those areas. If you want to subscribe to many suburbs at once, click the top right button to use the circling. It allows you to subscribe to hundreds of suburbs in 2 seconds. You can add or remove (swipe left) suburbs at any time.
The Security bond is not mandatory. But by making a Security bond deposit, you are basically telling the clients that you are a genuine Runner. You are serious and committed to the job. It increases your chances of winning jobs. And more importantly, this bond will be used to match the item values that clients are sending to resolve disputes should anything happened during the run.
You can withdraw your bond whenever you want. Please note: withdrawal requests are processed every Monday and Thursday. Only one request will be processed per user on those days. Please be aware that the Security bond will be refunded to your credit card.
Browse the available jobs on the App and choose the ones that you are willing to bid for and run.
You will also get notifications for jobs near you or in your subscribe areas. Make sure the notifications for Go People App is on (in your phone general settings).
• The bidding process
Check full details of the job, and make sure you understand all the requirements, including item content, pick up time, delivery time and so on. Ask questions in the comments section if there is anything unclear regarding the job. Please do not request for us to give you job, if you are the most suitable Runner for the job you will get it.
Once you understand all the job details, you can start bidding! Only bid the ones you can definitely complete. If we need to reassign because you didn’t read the details properly you could get a bad rating.
Make your bids competitive, the more jobs you complete, the more incentives your will get and better chances to win even more jobs. Be fast, jobs usually get assign within 5 minutes.
Keep in mind we take a 15% fee and there is 10% GST (unless you are registered for GST).
Our client or system will pick the most suitable Runner for the job. You will get notified via push notifications.
Once you have completed enough jobs and maintain a 100% good rating from clients reviews, you would be granted as a “Trust” Runner, which allows you to use the “Take” button to bypass the bidding process and take jobs straight away at the Cap prices. However if your ratings drop your “Take” button could go. You will be able to win it back if you do enough deliveries with good ratings in a row.
Your take button may not work if you are too far from job, if the job is for an oversized item or if other Runners already bid on the job, so make sure to be quick. However, you can still bid on the job even if you cannot take it.
Once a job is assigned to you, you will be able to view full details of the job including the full addresses you need to make the run.
If it’s a group job, you will only be able to see the complete address in the individual jobs. And you will need to update your status on them individually.
You’ll then need to make sure to update your estimate pick up time so the Sender knows at what time to expect you.
If for any reason you are running late, make sure to update your pick up so the Sender knows when to expect you. Try to pick up (and deliver) as early as possible.
Once the item has been picked up make sure to update your status, by clicking on the “Next” button.
Once you are delivering make sure to update your delivery time, as the recipient will receive a text to know when to expect you.
In most of cases, deliveries require recipient’s signature. So once you are on drop off location update your status again by pressing “Next” and you will be taken to the proof of delivery screen. If recipient is here, please ask them to sign on the App using their finger. If the person accepting the deliveries is not the recipient make sure to enter their name and ask for their signature.
If no one is home check the notes section of the job. If it says you can leave it at front door and take a picture as proof of delivery, then simply follow the directions given to you. Click on the “photo” icon on the “proof of delivery” screen. Make sure to leave the delivery in a safe place, near front door. If this is not possible (gate doesn’t open, dog in garden, secure unit), call the client or recipient to ask them what they would like you to do.
If there is no indication of what to do if no one is home, call the florist and/or leave a comment on the App. If no one picks up call the recipient asking them what to do. If they tell you to leave it by the door then take a picture as proof of delivery.
If the item needs to be redelivered to a different address in a different suburb there will be an extra fee. As well as if the delivery needs to be returned to client.
Please do not contact client or recipient asking them to confirm job, they already receive a notification to do so.
The money for the job gets transferred firstly from sender’s Go People account to your Go People account. You can then make withdraw requests to have the funds transferred to your bank account. Withdraw requests are processed every Monday and Thursday, during business hours. You have until Sunday midnight to do your withdraw request if you want it processed on Monday and Wednesday midnight if you want it processed on Thursday. Only one request will be processed per user on those days. Please do not make multiple withdraws until the previous ones are proceed.
If you’ve entered the wrong bank details, simply swipe left to delete the wrong account and enter new one. If you realise this after making a withdraw request, then again delete wrong account and enter new one and send an email to email@example.com explaining your situation so we can transfer to the correct account. A $3 bank fee will apply for each wrong withdraw request.
